This walk takes you through the pulsing heart of the City of London, one of our most historic quarters yet also a place where the glass skyscrapers are in a race to the sky.

The City was founded 2000 years ago by the Romans whose life here can still be traced. Since then it has had pretty much everything thrown at it – plague has stalked it streets, fires have swept away its buildings and bombs have rained down from the sky. And yet it has always managed to survive and emerge even stronger.

Today of course it’s a world-leading financial centre. On this walk we’ll talk about life and business in the City, discover some of its hidden corners and hopefully a few things that may surprise you if you feel you know the City well.
